councillor david martin is stated to be looking at parking issues across CSP in an 'holistic approach' - we met with him around 3 months ago to address issues we were having in CSP

he said he was looking into a number of issues regarding cars / traffic /and parking in CSP

he stated....

by adding yellow lines all you do is move the issue to adjoining roads... he is said to be looking at orchard grove, the vale, pennington road, the lower road, fieldway and  laurel road, penn road along with others up by the NSE site

he was also told about other issues  relating to parking at the parish council AGM meeting by a large number of residents....so its a hot topic...

after our meeting we resorted to paying to have lines painted on the road outside our properties in an attempt to keep access clear- these white lines have limited success....

i dont think double yellows is the solution in every case ( and if these are brought in they need to be policed - no deterrent otherwise....)

the legal consultation period for new yellow lines is around 2 years too - so its not a quick solution either..

but the issue around parking for the academy was discussed, teachers as well as parents are leaving cars badly parked in local roads, - one teachers car was damaged last year by a HGV...

so the school know its an issue too !

badger your councillor about this, he wants to be elected too !

need a stella and i need one now !

Thanks, happybunny.
Weekends are a bit like rainbows. They look good from a distance but disappear when you get up close to them.

Wouldn't be Chiltern DC doing it as Bucks CC is responsible for highways, including on-street parking and parking restrictions.

I heard from one of my neighbours that CDC have been looking at roads around the CSP Academy such as Fieldway, Laurel Rd and Penn Road with regard to painting double yellow lines along them. As a resident I think it is a really great idea and will stop the school parking but what about residents or their visitors needing to park outside their houses for any reason,  Does anyone know if there is any truth in this?
