Hmmm. Tough one. I can't think of one that specialises in either locally. The only spanish I can think of even remotely locally is Windsor, La Tasca, which is very child friendly put not sure it's a good place for a special birthday. The Oaks does do a good steak and we've been in there with our little one during the day and felt fine in there. I'll ask about.....

I had a good meal in Biggles, Denham, several years ago now - I remember the décor (and menu) was like you'd stepped into 1970, but the food and service were very good. Not heard anything about it since then, but the website suggests they are still there...
The food was very much traditional, but the Spanish chef will, according to the site, cook your favourite dish subject to sufficient notice. http://www.bigglesrestaurant.com/

Would tapas be any good, plus steak?  In Beaconsfield.

Head into London and try Fat of The Land - a shortish walk from Marylebone so no need to buy a tube ticket. Else see if La Giralda in Pinner is still around.

I was browing restaurants near where I work and came across this that a colleague went to and quite enjoyed. Then I remembered this thread!  So a bit late, but might do for next Birthday.
