We have waited for years for Packhorse Road to be sorted out. Over the last few weeks the kerb works have been carried out, with the new tarmac laid over the junction over a couple of nights. I drove through GX tonight to see a team of men doing a very nice job of paint the road markings.

Does this mean they have finished the road surface?

When driving along the new raised surface past Station Road you drop down a large ramp outside Jack and Alice onto the failed road surface.

Why did they not surface the section of road with all the holes in it?

This sort of waste of money is unforgivable.
Keep the green belt green

Hi Henry I understand that the rest of the roadworks are to be finished by bucks highways. The work that has been carried out has been done and paid for by Tesco with the approval of the town council.

I take your point,

but whilst all the equipment was on site, it would have been easier and cheaper to do all the repairs.

I consider it very bad planning and a waste to money too.

I too agree with you. But the mismanagement of this is down to bucks highways. It has been postponed countless times to allow bucks highways to scheduled the work. Some penpushers up there somewhere still cannot get there act together. We should all remember this when we vote next time.

I agree. Why could they not have coordinated the works better. It's our money they fritter away by their inefficiencies
