how about a story on the increased issues of poor parking in chalfont now the new parking regulations are in force.....

just take a look at the lower road now, the vale, laurel road, you name it, these residential roads are totally full of parked cars,  its getting worse,  chalfont garage doors have now taken to parking their green focus up on the pavement at the end of vale close, no yellow lines on the pavement !!!!!!

you cant get past with our double pushchair forcing pedestrians to use the road !

parking is getting dangerous with people parking opposite other parked cars causing an obstruction, also vehicles are being parked too close to T junctions ( breaking the highway code) also as robertswood PTA point out the situation is compounded around school time....

i have spoken to the local parking enforcement officers who will not deal with vehicles causding an obstruction or those breaking road traffic laws by parking on a T junction.....

so no bloddy help there then !

iam sure this growing issue is worth a few column inches....and i am sad to say i see the problem slowly getting worse in time !

"local parking enforcement officers who will not deal with vehicles causding an obstruction or those breaking road traffic laws"

Traffic wardens who don't want to issue tickets? The world has gone mad.

I used to be with it. But then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems scary and weird.

If either of you, or anyone else on the forum would
like to speak with a reporter on the record about this
issue, then please give either Ben, Luke or myself a
call on 01753 888333.
To make a story like this work, we need people to
speak with us and make their complaints. We have
noticed things have not got better, but cannot write
from our own perspective.
It's people who make stories.

I have the phone number for the Community Police who can deal with obstruction and poor parking issues, and the email address for the lady who is in charge of the new parking scheme. If you PM me Big Baggles I can pass them on.

They have taken notice of the problems on Denham Lane re: Robertswood School and 2 officers were there yesterday issuing tickets.

I've seen two walking past the office this afternoon.
Apparently two walked past the office yesterday too.

hurrah, maybe a few tickets issued may make drivers stop and think if the location in which they abandon their vehicles is a sensible one !- or a legal one or a safe one !
